| 15 Second Summary |
Once upon a time, a soft upper middle class British boy turned WWI vet, turned law school dropout, turned angry poet, fell in love with a hot and mysterious stranger. That stranger eventually turned out to be, uh, Lucifer. After a year of tempestuous romance, Lucy wandered off in distraction, and Cecy...more or less damned himself trying to find him again. After ~400 years in Hell, Lucy happened to wander by and rescue Cecy from unending torment at the hands of demons (revealing his True Identity in the process). He did this by shoving Cecy's soul into his tormentor's body and leaving him to make his own way out of Hell. Cecy managed to do just that, (mostly) dodging the entanglements of demon politics along the way. Now adrift in a year 23XX heading for the capital-A Apocalypse, Cecy just wants to enjoy the quiet life for as long as he possibly can. It's a bit hard when people (demons, mad scientists, occultists) keep chasing him around the globe because of his (apparent) importance to Lucy, and Lucy himself keeps stopping by to say hi and watch him squirm. |

He is a raggedy human soul stapled into an immortal, eternally youthful, moderately powerful demon's body. He heals very quickly from any injuries and doesn't technically require sustenance from food, drink, or sleep. (Though he still enjoys some amount of all those things.) He defaults to human levels of strength/speed/stamina/etc. as he doesn't have much knowledge of his actual demon abilities. As a result, when put in stressful situations, demonic traits/abilities tend to manifest involuntarily.
On the mundane side, he's excellent at languages (fluent in several, varying proficiency in others, picks them up relatively easily), a very good poet, and a fairly good artist. |

Please keep in touch! Cecy is a very nervous character with...well, a lot of triggers. His background also touches on things that people may not want to deal with like riffing on Xtianity, PTSD, dysphoria (not gender-related), abusive relationship dynamics, and more. In some ways he's a character in progress and I'm developing his personality and how to approach him as I play him.
I do my best to play his everything well and am open to feedback! I'm also happy to avoid certain topics when threading with your character or to avoid your character altogether. To that end, I keep up several methods of contact: PM via DW, PM on Discord, shoot me an email (ivoryandhorn @ gmail), or comment here (comments are screened). Take your pick. |
| Sensing |
He feels like a legit straight-out-of-Hell demon. Except not quite right, since his soul is entirely human. The seam between his soul and body distinct but strong; ain't nothing pulling them apart. Feel free to sense as much of that as your character would be able to sense.
Cecy's own sensing is fine-tuned for demons/infernal stuff and, more vaguely, angels/holy things. That's it. He doesn't like to think about having Magic Sense (TM) too much and therefore his Magic Sense (TM) is pretty poor. |
